The idea of Robocop being remade isn’t a bad idea at all, the actual remake
itself is unbelievably woeful. The film is a complete dud, not terrible, just
considerably dull. The film is a combination of boring boardroom conversations,
drab Sam Jackson news shows, vanilla action sequences and what seems to be a
whole film of Abbie Cornish crying. Every emotion is so overwrought that it
borders on melodrama; for god’s sake I want to see Robocop shoot people. In
addition to the majority of the performances being terrible, the worst thing
you can say about the film is that it isn’t even remotely interesting enough to
